Ocean Spirit is directly on the beach, actually built on a sand dune, with no obstructions between the home and the ocean high tide waterline. You cannot reside closer to the ocean unless you are on a boat. Our private beach, as well as most Delaware beaches have proven to be exceptionally clean.
Alternatively, if desired, you can drive approx. 2-5 minutes north on route 1 to the nearby entrance of the Delaware Seashore Park and park your car at the beach for a small parking fee. However, this is the same beach and you can easily walk directly to it.
For SUV’s with 4‑wheel drive you may acquire a $100 DE annual surf license and drive directly onto the beach and park at the waterline and fish and swim. You don’t have to be a DE resident to purchase a surf license.
